Update and Vision for this Blog

As you may or may not have read my previous posts… Those were posts I had shared on Facebook and Instagram throughout this year starting back in May.

I will have new writings as God puts something new on my heart. My vision for this blog is to inspire and encourage those in their walk with Christ, to help those who are struggling, in-between in their walk, and to remind. Through using story telling, poetry, teaching, and scripture. To ignite or reignite the flame in our hearts. Thanks for reading. I look forward to sharing with you all!

A Sight for Christ

How do we view God? How is our sight in Jesus? If we believe He exists, why do we remain on the border? The lie that tells us Christ only wants us to live our life by just believing that He’s there, that He just wants us to go on with our lives to do what makes us happy. When now is when we should set Him as the foundation of our life. I know now that I could never feel joy, never understand such a feeling without Christ as the center in my life. Without Him as my compass, I’m lost in a hopeless wilderness leading to counterfeit lights, bound to turn to ash. As I seek new things continuously to make me happy. That void still remains in my heart, and only grows over time.

Our Life Story

From July 24th, 2016.

You’ve gone too far down this road to turn back now. If you turn back now, you won’t find your way back. Time will fly away. You’ve lived this life too long to change now. You can’t be accepted now. Your past has too much of a strong hold over your life. Walking on the road of despair.

The lies that deceive so many lives, set to eradicate what God has in store for you. But the victory has already been declared. The price for your life has already been paid. The ultimate sacrifice, the ultimate act of love.

As if our days are pages, as if seasons are chapters, our life a story. What will we write out? When do we decide to make Christ our turning page in life? When do we slow down, and stop, stop walking down the long road that leads to another dead end? When do we turn around to stop, to seek direction? When do we say my self image only leads to temporary brilliance, like a firework in the sky. Who will I write my story out to? Will I walk down the narrow road of life, the road of purpose. Or will I only live as a counterfeit of what I could be? Could these treasures of the world I seek ever fulfill the longings of my heart?

To choose life. Know that when you can’t walk on your own. He will give you strength, though it won’t be easy. Don’t be afraid to fall, knowing He will be there to pick you back up. He will set your eyes toward home. Through every season, the beauty, and the tragedy, cherish every moment of life. Knowing that no season, that no chapter, was meant to be rushed through. Surely the world has let you down, but believe Christ will raise you back up for something better.

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28

Hearts Left in the Streets

To the hearts left out on the streets to die. To the ones who gave their heart away for a someone else. To the ones who never had a family to be loved by. To the ones who struggled to fit in life. To the ones who define themselves from the mistakes and pain from yesterday. To the ones who forgot about their dreams and have to force their eyes to remember who they are. To the lives that are lost and forgotten about.

Fractured heart, fragile like glass, shattered in a thousand pieces. All seems lost. Appearing that it’s impossible for the pieces to be put back together. For the long road that led them here, into this lifeless desert. Streets that are too dead for dreaming. Confined by an imaginary periphery. At the edge of defeat, hope is all but gone. The night sky comes, all too cloudy to see stars.

But even in the darkest, when it all seems lost, hope remains. Through the dark, a fragment of light can still be seen. Like a candle waiting to be lit. Like the light shining after the storm. Hope remains.

There’s a reason for this world. There’s a reason for your life. Though it seemed impossible to pick those pieces up and put them back together, He did it. He knows where you’ve been, He knows what you’ve been through, so trust in the Him to bring you back. He’ll give you the strength when you have none. The walk may not be easy, we may stumble along the way, but know that He will be there to pick you back up. He will be the compass in your life.

To cherish life. To cherish everyday. Knowing it’s a gift just to live. How beautiful, how wonderful it is, to even live. Our lives aren’t defined by heirlooms or family trees. The future holds brighter things than any flashback. For there comes peace, hope, and love when you give your heart to Jesus. For only Christ can heal the broken.

“Jesus spoke to them again, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” John 8:12

Our Light Tested

All seemed so well. Walking on the right path. But when the storm came in, you ignored the shelter, and fell off track. You fell on a different road, a path all alone. A path of hurt and fear. Pain from yesterday, the fear of what tomorrow brings.

Ignoring the fading flame. So afraid for love to come into your heart again, when His love is the only thing you need, just come back to Jesus. Have peace and courage, and remember the one true God. Trust in Him even when you can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. Know that storms come, and storms go. Knowing that we are too weak to stand on our own. Know that peace comes when you give your life to Him, no matter what mountains you face tomorrow.

Being saved doesn’t mean life is easy. It’s easy to praise God when all is well. But when the storms come in, we tend to forget. Blinded by the lightning, deaf by the thunder. How strong is our faith in Christ? Can I say that I’ve praised God in the storm, that I’ve trusted Him even when all seems lost? Our light is truly tested when we face the dark.

To set your eyes on God, not on the storm. I must remember that God’s ways are higher than mine. How could I possibly question perfection? “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

God’s Plan for Love

There the girl stands open heart, with open doors. Full of life with the world that’s always wanting more. The crowds lure by, without blinking an eye, leaving her feeling cold. Still she carries a smile, speaking words of kindness, acting like everything is well. But He can see when the light starts to fade. At the end of the day, when the laugh, when the smile goes away. So let Jesus be your first love.

In the coldest of life, His love will keep you warm. In the darkest of times, His light will shine a path. And when the day comes, may that gentleman of God be your love. For a man of God will guard a woman’s heart. He holds on to the pure promise. He wants to know her by heart, by soul. He makes sure that God is her first love, he strives to keep her candle burning for Christ. He doesn’t ask her to give away her heart to him, but to the Creator that blessed him. A man of God knows that if he can’t put God before him, then he will only struggle to put her before him. He serves the Lord and his family first.

True love is God’s plan for love. Don’t rush into it, for love is patient; never settle for less. For the greatest works you’ll do won’t be the romantics dinners, or the trips on the beach, but the wonders you did together to serve the King. How beautiful it will be, to look back and see a young couple in love, on fire for God. For a relationship in love with Christ keeps together a two into one flesh.

“Wait on the Lord;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the Lord!”
Psalm 27:14

How Beautiful Life is

My first post here. From May, 15, 2016.

Life is beautiful. It’s a gift just to live. Life means so much. There’s so many people, and young people of course, that miss the meaning of life. What is joy, exactly? What is the meaning?

There’s many young people who were never told that they have a purpose. There’s many that were told that this is what they are worth. Giving into the lies. Never let the pain, or the mistakes of the past define who you are. Joy should never be turning to the bottle, where forgetting who you are is what brings you happiness.

Don’t let the world tell you who you are. Part of believing is dreaming. The desires of the world will consume you. And in the end, looking back, can you say it was all worth it? What does it do for me now? What did it do for my loved ones?

What person did I portray in their lives, in those in need, to the lost? If I was so consumed with what benefited me, how could I have shined a light? Did I really care for my them? Did I light any torches for Christ? Was the entertainment of the world worth it? What was my long accomplishment?

Surely the path of life is narrow. And it’s easy to fall off track. But in the sands of the desert there will be footprints to follow, in the dark wilderness there will be a light to see.

To live is a beautiful thing. You are God’s beautiful creation. Life goes by fast, some faster than others. The key is how you live it. Will you spend it serving the world, or serving the Lord? Life is too precious to live on the fence.

“Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”
Matthew 7:14
